Kyra White

(she/her)

Kyra is a human, first. Registered Nurse second. Born and raised on Secwépemc territory in Kamloops, she has been blessed to live, love, learn and grow on the Musqueam, Squamish, and Tsleil-Waututh Nations for the last 7 years.

Kyra has a nursing specialty in palliative care and a diverse work history from mental health and addictions, to hospice, and community care and has a deep compassion and empathy for those navigating trauma healing, PTSD and mental health challenges.

Kyra is often described as a permission slip to let it all belong and she is committed to providing compassionate, culturally safe and trauma-sensitive care as she holds space for your innate healing intelligence to emerge. She feels an immense honor and privilege to be able to witness your unfolding and is grateful to be a part of the Psy-Qi team.

In addition to her nursing education, she has and continues to have spent the last 5+ years learning about the nervous system, conscious relationships, attachment theory, trauma and various forms of trauma resolution. She is a certified breathwork practitioner and is currently working towards her certification in Somatic Experiencing. She is drawn to this work having experienced first-hand the personal transformations that are possible, and she has a deep respect and reverence for the medicine. When not at work you can find Kyra in nature, writing poetry, making art, reading a good book, or singing while making an earth altar.
