At Qi Integrated Health, our naturopathic doctors are thrilled to offer a variety of injection treatments to treat various health concerns and help to restore balance in the body. Let’s take a look at the different types of injections available and the uses and benefits they provide:

Intravenous (IV) Nutrient Therapy: This type of injection is used to directly supply the body with essential vitamins and minerals that might be lacking from an individual’s diet or lifestyle. The nutrients are delivered straight into the bloodstream, providing a 100% rate of absorption compared to regular oral supplementation which are only about 30-40% absorbed. Typically an IV nutrient drip will contain calcium, magnesium, vitamin B1, B2, B3, B5, B6, B12, vitamin C, amino acids, antioxidants and electrolytes. Each formula is customized to each individual's needs or goals.

IV Glutathione Push: Glutathione is an antioxidant molecule naturally produced by the body which helps protect cells from oxidative stress caused by toxins or environmental pollutants we come across daily in modern life. Glutathione also helps the body detoxify and can decrease inflammation.

NAD+ Boosters: NAD+ stands for nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide – an enzyme found naturally occurring within cells that’s responsible for energy production within mitochondria; it’s also essential for DNA repair within our bodies too! NAD+ booster injections provide cells with extra fuel so they can work better at repairing damaged DNA strands while also functioning optimally during metabolic processes.

Prolotherapy: Also known as regenerative injection therapy, this type of injection involves injecting irritants such as dextrose or saline solution into areas of ligament or tendon damage in order to stimulate healing and tissue regeneration. This process is often used to reduce pain while increasing range of motion in joints affected by injury or chronic inflammation. It is particularly useful for treating degenerative joint conditions like osteoarthritis.

Vitamin Boosters: Vitamin booster shots are an alternative to oral supplementation. The vitamin is injected into a muscle, usually the arm, in high amounts. Most often vitamin B12 or vitamin D are given to prevent or treat deficiency.

Neural Prolotherapy (or Perineural Therapy): This form of treatment involves injecting anesthetic medications into nerves that are causing pain signals to be sent out from the affected area. By numbing these nerves and blocking pain signals from being sent to the brain, neural prolotherapy can reduce inflammation as well as pain symptoms associated with conditions like sciatica, arthritis, carpal tunnel syndrome and more.

Trigger Point Injections (TPI): Trigger points are tiny knots inside muscles that create tension in surrounding tissues which can lead to pain throughout the entire body. By targeting these trigger points with injections such as lidocaine or corticosteroids, TPI can help to reduce tightness within the muscle which allows for increased mobility in affected areas. This technique is commonly used for treating chronic headaches and neck pain due to its ability to relax tense muscles around these regions quickly and effectively.

Overall there are a range of injection therapies available at Qi Integrated Health - each having unique benefits depending on what type of condition you're looking to treat.
