Psychedelic Drug Researcher, Mark Haden Joins Qi Integrated Health

Vancouver, BC -  Qi Integrated Health is pleased to announce that Mark Haden, Founder and former Executive Director of MAPS Canada (Multidisciplinary Association for Psychedelic Studies) has joined the company as Clinical Supervisor, overseeing the clinical team delivering Psychedelic-Assisted Therapy programs launching in early 2023.

Internationally recognized for his work in regulated psychedelic research and clinical integration, Queen Diamond Jubilee Medal Recipient, and Professor, Mark Haden is seen by the medical community as a progressive thinker, and recognized by pop-culture icons like Gwenyth Paltrow on her Netflix “Goop Lab” as a leader — Mark Haden’s reputation stretches across industries.

Mark Haden comments, “I am really excited to join the team and build a psychedelic healing program.  While Qi Integrated Health has been around for many years it is timely now that they expand into the psychedelic space. I feel fortunate as this beautiful, accessible, and multidisciplinary health facility is an ideal location to build a psychedelic healing program.”

“I have the utmost respect and appreciation for Mark and the work he has done in both Addictions Services at Vancouver Coastal Health and MAPS Canada. Mark is deeply passionate about the healing potential of psychedelic medicine and has stoked the fire with his torch over the past 15 years. As the deep freeze has thawed at last, the community is grateful for Mark deciding to return to a role where he can apply his decades of experience supporting patients in the clinic once again. As a mentor and friend, I could not be more excited to be working together. Thank you Mark for being a true leader in the psychedelic space.” Shares Kiem Schutter, Qi Integrated Health’s Founder and CEO.

About the Ketamine-Assisted Therapy Program at Qi Integrated Health

Ketamine is an anesthetic primarily used in medical settings that produces a sense of mind from body separation (dissociation). Ketamine is safe with over 50 years of research and legally approved for therapeutic use in Canada and US. Ketamine-Assisted Therapy is a new system of care that combines evidence-based medicine with traditional therapies. The low dose, medically prescribed Ketamine acts as a supportive tool that aids in the removal of barriers to connection and break through previously treatment-resistant challenges such as depression, anxiety, addiction, and trauma. Available in small group or individual treatment programs, patients will be supported by a team of experienced health care practitioners, including therapists, medical doctors, and nurses.
