The most important modality utilized in the treatment of asthma is Chinese Herbal Medicine. The herbal formula is usually a combination of 10 to 15 ingredients, which are chosen based on the individual’s clinical presentation. Upon return visits, the herbal formula is adjusted or modified as the patient’s condition improves.

TCM is holistic in nature. As such, patients commonly report improvements in other areas of their health. Skin disorders, digestive health, allergies, fatigue, stress and menstrual irregularities often respond to treatment simultaneously.
